Bair Aesthetics is a bodybuilding contest prep and lifestyle diet coaching company owned and operated by Dylan Bair, MS, RD, CPT and graduate of The Ohio State University. Dylan has put together a team of dietitians and future dietitians in order to develop well trained athletes and increase health in the general population by using our science based nutrition backgrounds. My role at BA is a business within a business. I obtain anywhere from 35-60 goal oriented clients at a time providing them with personalized dietary and exercise protocols and weekly follow-ups via email. Through BA I have be able to expand my knowledge and skills related to my future career goals.

MRE is a Veteran owned and operated meal prep company local to Columbus, Ohio that delivers fully cooked meals right to the door of people in the community. MRE has a mission of providing the local community with a healthy, affordable and time saving service of meals ready to eat. MRE uses all-natural, local, GMO free, gluten-free, fresh and high quality ingredients in every dish. At MRE I was provided with knowledge of owning a business in the food service industry, marketing strategies, kitchen skills and was able to further develop my customer service skills.

Wesley Glen is a retirement community in Columbus, Ohio. At Wesley Glen I worked with the elderly population as a dietary aide alongside a registered dietitian who determined the dietary needs of patients. My duties consisted of preparing meals for the patients according to the menu I was provided with by the RD and delivering and collecting food trays. I also assisted in kitchen and dining room clean up, maintenance and set up. Food safety tasks and keeping up with regulations were also my duty.

The Dock is a local restaurant and bar in my hometown of Chillicothe, Ohio that I worked at during the summer when I was back home. I was a server at the Dock with duties that included familiarizing guests with menu options and daily specials, accurately recorded food and drink orders, performed basic cleaning tasks as well as tallied bills and operated the POS. This position taught me the ins and outs of food service.

Berry Blendz is a smoothie bar on The Ohio State University's campus. I prepared smoothies using fresh produce with quality and consistency, took orders using a POS system and ensured cafe operations were smooth and profitable. During my time at Berry Blendz I was able to work my way into a shift manager position where I supervised other employees and trained new hires. Being a shift manager further developed my leadership skills, teaching skills as well as my patience by working with others.

I was a gymnast for 10 years from age eight to 18. I ended up fracturing my back and having to retire. After my retirement I decided to make use of my skills and teach young gymnasts the art of gymnastics. I supervised a diversity gymnasts anywhere from the age of two to 16, both male and female. Coaching gymnastics gave me the basic skills I needed in order to properly coach people in other aspects of life like nutrition and exercise. Coaching also developed my leadership and teaching skills.
